Schnucks Completely Normal Cereal Characters

This blog has tended to favor Aldi products so far, but I've noticed a disturbing trend in the Aldi cereal character line-up.  For some reason, they have been replacing our beloved sea creatures with cute, cuddly mammals and birds.  Bleuch!  Who wants to look at a friendly dog while eating their cereal?  Give me a scary three-eyed alien any day!

Fortunately, Schnucks grocery stores have stepped in to fill the gap.  Thanks to their line-up of Completely Normal Cereal Characters, we can all enjoy our breakfast with a few friendly faces.

Simple But Delicious

Looking over the recipes on my blog, I've noticed that some of them are really quite complex.  I know that not all of you out there are as handy in the kitchen as Aaron and I are, so I thought I'd add something a bit simpler.  I think you'll be pleased with the results.

Homemade Raisins

These days, raisin prices just keep shooting up, with no relief in sight.  Fortunately I've got just the solution: make your own raisins!  It's really quite easy!

Homemade Raisins

Millville Fruit Rounds Manta Ray (2010-2012)

You were truly a spokescreature of a special breed.  You taught me to look beyond the bowl, to laugh in the face of convention and boldly eat my Fruit Rounds from a puddle of milk.  Sure, the parrot may be able to offer us extra iron, but he'll never capture our hearts the way you did.

Put another Fruit Round on your tail in Heaven for me, little buddy.

For the Dairy Fan

This inviting dish is a recent discovery in our apartment, and Aaron just can't get enough of it!  Once you try it, you, too, may find yourself coming back for more, time after time.  The good thing is, it's relatively simple to make, and you can find the ingredients in nearly every grocery store.  On top of that, who doesn't like cooking with cheese?

Fit & Active Light Low Moisture Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Ingredients:

Fit & Active Light Low Moisture Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese Stick/Sticks

Directions:

Remove from bag.   Peel off wrapper.  Bon appetit!

Alternate Directions (for the more adventuresome):

Remove from bag.  Peel off wrapper.  Tug cheese into long shreds.  Bon appetit!

Gettin' Creative!

I happily stumbled upon this savory recipe late one night.  I should probably apply for a patent, but I'm going to share it here because I trust all of you.  It's a little bit complex, but hopefully you will be able to pull it off.

Grits Made With a Fit & Active Milk Chocolate Weight Loss Shake

Ingredients:

1 Fit & Active Milk Chocolate Weight Loss Shake (click here for recipe)
Enough grits to fill the bottom of the bowl, and maybe a little more.  Better give it another spoonful.  No, maybe just a little more.  Yeah, that looks good.

Directions:

Combine grits and half can of Weight Loss Shake in bowl.  Stir.  Microwave until grits start spitting.  Hurriedly remove from microwave, add more Weight Loss Shake.  Stir.

Microwave again.  Remove from microwave.  CAUTION: BOWL WILL BE HOT, so pull it out of the microwave quickly enough that you don't burn your hands (if you have an oven mitt, you may also use it for this purpose).  Add remaining Weight Loss Shake to taste.  Bon appetit!

The "All-in-One" Meal

Andy here with another scrumptious dish from Aaron's and my Secret Recipe Book.  Do you ever feel that your diet is too monotonous, that you eat the same thing day-in and day-out?  If so, you might not be getting all of the vitamins and minerals that your body needs, like Chromium, Biotin and Magnesium.  Never fear, because Aaron and I have the perfect solution!

Don't forget the Phosphorus!

Fit & Active Milk Chocolate Weight Loss Shake

Ingredients:

Fit & Active Milk Chocolate Weight Loss Shake/Shakes (to taste.  Note: I usually get a little shaky if I drink more than 3 in a row).

Directions:

Remove from box.  Open can (a spoon may be required).  Bon appetit!

Special Note:
You may wish to hold onto the cans as a memory of the fun time you spent in the kitchen preparing this mouth-watering dish.
